Fred Gluck and Simon Raab, Ph.D. named Co-Chairman of TrueVision® 3D Surgical
Former Chairman AJ Rice is honored for his 2 years service

3D Surgical announced today that Fred Gluck and Simon Raab have been named Co-Chairman by the company's board of directors as AJ Rice steps down from the Chairman position. Fred Gluck joined the board in January 2007. Simon Raab joined the board in April 2010.

About Fred Gluck
FRED GLUCK was at McKinsey & Co. from 1967 - 1995 and led the Firm as its Managing Director from 1988 - 1994. After retiring from McKinsey he joined Bechtel and served as Vice-chairman and Director. In addition, Fred has served on the Board of Amgen (NASDAQ) and was the lead Director of HCA (NYSE) . Since coming to Santa Barbara in 1998, he has been active with early stage medical device and biotech ventures including Cynvenio Biosystems and CytomX, LLC. For eleemosynary endeavors, Fred has served on the Cottage Health System Board, is a Trustee of the UC Santa Barbara Foundation Board and is also a Trustee (Emeritus) of the New York Presbyterian Hospital. Fred will be the recipient of the 2012 South Coast Pioneer Award. Mr. Gluck received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College, an MSEE from NYU, and pursued advanced studies in Operations Research at Columbia University.
About Simon Raab, Ph.D.
SIMON RAAB is the founder of Faro Technologies (FARO: NASDAQ) where he remains Chairman of the Board. He served as Chief Executive Officer of the Company from its inception in 1982 until January 2006. Mr. Raab holds more than 120 US patents with associated foreign patents in fields of 3D coordinate measuring systems, biomaterials, and medical diagnostics. Mr. Raab holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, a Masters of Engineering Physics from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Biophysics from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
